We had a lovely Independance Day. The weather was sunny and waqrm, and we shares a fun cookout with family and friends. As always, the fiework display was spectacular. Let's hope the good weather continues.

Last night we had the worst thunder and lighning storm I ave ever seen. The effects over the ocean are spectacular ro see and brutal to hear. i worried about people who were caught in their boas. Vey dangerous.

Hooray! The sun is back. I am happy to note that the weekend forecast is for warm and sunny weather. i am happy about that, because we are entertaining a lot of people at the beach.

I watched the Tony Awards last night . I am always struck by the fact that it is the classiest awards show of them all. No long thank yous, many, many performances, and they end on time. The theater is the most professional of all the dramatic disciplines

I am reminded that true friends can always communicate even when a long time has passed between visits. i had a ng visit frm a friend who had moved away several years ago. e had lost contact, but when he arrived at my house this week, we were able to continue speaking as though we had spken yesterday.

I am happy that tomorrow we greet June. many of my favorite people have been plagued by illness this month. Hopefully, tje new month will be kinder.

I bought a new ice cream maker, which requires no ice or salt. it makes a quart in the freezer. The one we tried yesterday came our very well.

My faith in the american voter was restored when Kris Allen was voted American Idol. Both finalists will have successful careers, but the ido was rightfully chosen.

I watche idol last night, and hope the voting public realized that a beautiful voice and creative artistry i still more important than flamboyant yelling and superficial showmanship. I admit Adam Lambert has flair and chemistry with a segment of the audience, but the clear artist is Kris.

I have made some progress with my laptop, at least with using the mouse. I still cannot work on my new book as the microsoft word/work is not compatible. Also,I need to retrieve my address book.

i finally have my laptop ready to practicewith now that i have a case (so I won't drop it on the floor if I'm in bed)and a surge protector so ii can keep it plugged in.
I feel very lucky to have so many family and friends who are willing to help me. I am truly grateful, and I thik they know that.

A beautiful day on Cape Cod.
last night i watched American Idol as I am prone to do. As a musician, i like to sense the pulse of America's choices. i agree with the choices made last night. However I have a bigger question. What exactly should the Americal idol be? Is there room for Broadway singers, or chassical singers, or must it be country or rock. a clarification would be helpful to understand the choices. Thank heaven for Simon Cowell. He is always on target. It would be nice if the crowd would let him speak. His task, as i see it, is too give constructive criticism to those who remain. If they heed his words, they always immprove.

Happy Patriot's Day! I said this to someone today, and the answer was, when is it? Are we becoming so de-sensitized to holidays except as day's off that we don't remember the significance of the holiday to begin with? maybe we'd better re-examine our reasons for the holiday in the first place. Today is a lovely day. I hope i can go outside for a while. Anew baby has been born to a member of our family. A girl named london should make her mother happy and eager to be a good mother.
i learned of an 11-year old today who was beated and bitten by her mother last week. The father (not married to the mother)is seeking custody. He is not much better than the mother. The way the child must be feeling makes me sad. No wonder so many young people gtow up thinking the world owes the, in mahy cases, we do because we haven't cared for them when they needed it most. let's hope her father steps up and helps this child. Love does conquer all.

My publisher has really done a lot for me as far s marketing is concerned. I wish I were better equipped to take full advantage. If I didn't have Danny,(my computer expert) to translate the instructions, I would be even more concerned than I am now. I have seen many Gogle Alerts I wish to respond to, but the various passwords i have defeat me. The weather today is marvelous. maybe Spring has really sprung.

it is beautiful to look out my window this morning and watch the gulls swooping down to get fish. It is amazing to note that gulls are not attractive when n the groun, but extraordinarily lovely when in flight.
My publisher has made a video concerning my book I like it a lot. now i have to decide if I want to do a radio show.

What a wonderful joy that the Captain was rescued from the Pirates. I am happy that our government still realizes that human life is priceless, but not negotiable. It is finally getting warm enough to go outside to sit. When i get my laptop ( which is coming) I can work outside as well.

Is the gloom of the day and the cold weather a reminder of the holy Saturday before the resurrection? I have always felt that the weather would have been bleak. Therefore, Easter Sunday should be sunny and warm. Hmmm, I wonder.

On Good Friday, i think it is important to remember those who have sacrificed their lives for us in the armed services ans well as police and firefighters. In this self-serving society we live in,it is wonderful to remember that there are many people whose unselfish giving is still around.

I watched dancing With the Stars last night because i am always intrigued by people who are willing to work hard out of their comfort zone. ot amazes me, however, the number of people who have no rhythmic feeling at all. I guess thatproves that you can learn steps, but not really learn how to dance.

i haven't blogged for aa couple of days, bcause my friendly polio virus decided to remind me that it was in control . I'm okay now and eager to write. i am planning to get a laptop soon, so i won't be handicapped by not being able to get to the computer. I did solve a couple of problems with chapter 16 of my ne book. Sooo, it wasn't a total loss.

Today, while i was working on my new novel, I was thinking about the necessity for people to keep a positive attitude in their lives. it is too easy to concentrate on the things tat are going wrong, or poor health, Happiness depends on a joyful outlook, and a concentration on making the people you care about feel better too. I "try" to live this way, but i am going to try harder.

I'm listening to Linda Eder, a wonderful Broadway singer. i admire her voice, and her passion. She often chooses off-beat songs, but definitely makes them her own. I am also excited because i finally finished chapter 15 of my new novel and started chapter 16.I can't wait to find out what happens to my characters.

Now that today is officially Spring, i am looking forward to the joy of warmth and bright sunshine. i am fortunate to live on the ocean and can see the many moods and colors of the sea. As i write in A MUTD MELODY, the music of the ocean in its many moods, accompanied by the seaming of the gulls and the happy laughter of children is stimulating.

Lately, I've been noticing how negative people have become. maybe it's becaue of the long winter, or just that we take the good things in our lives for granted. Soooo, I'm maling a concerted effort to do better. I will no longer complain about the weather and (more difficult), I'll try to be more positive about my war with my computer blog. HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY. The sun is shining on my ocean today although it is still quite cold outside. I am pleased because last night i achieved a real break-through in chapter 15 of my new novel. i had been unhappy with where it was going, but now i can fix it. i just wish i could communicate with people on my Google Alert account and on my Gmail notes. I admit I am a real dunce as far as these "new fangled gadgets" are concerned. Oh well, I'll keep trying

You may notice that my blog page looks different today. A cousin of mine who understands computers doctored it up. The music is Pavarotti singing Nessun Dorma, it is my favorite song. It means Noone Sleeps . it subscribes to the fact that if i stay awake and alert, Vincera at the end means I shall conquer. Hopefully, I shall conquer the computer and my insecurities. The pictures at the bottom of my profile are of my terrier Dandy Dancer who is "dancing" and the view from my deck of my house.

I am very lucky because Jessica is making me smart. Hopefully I will be able to actually communicate with the world. So far, so good.

Here we go again. the weather is LOUSY! I love my beautiful ocean view, winter or summer sunny or rainy, but REALLY, ehough is enough. I am living in comlete frustration today. i have several blog links and new names and passwords which were given to me by my marketing team. i can't seem to make any of them work. i realize this is the age of high technology, but frankly, I prefer the telephone and snail mail.

Sometimes I worry about the creativity of our citizens. It seems that often times people only relate to things they are familiar with. I believe that the different approaches to life we take give us the most exciting adventures. Last night I watched the results show of American Idol. The commonality of the 3 winners seemed to be their similarities, rather than differences. Why is it that we can always fecognize Elton John, Aretha Franklin, Barbra Streisand, and Frank Sinatra without even being familiar with the song? Perhaps it is because they have a different sound. Think abbout it.

We have had threee days of sunshine on Cape Cod. It is beautiful. I love it here even in the snow. Then, there is a stark beauty, but warm is better. I am still having trouble getting responses to my blog. Am I doing something wrong?
i read the google alerts faithfully, and have posted 25, but no response. I am still working hard writing the sequel to A MUTED MELODY. i would love to hear from someone.

Today is 1/29.
We are having yet another snowstorm. it seems winter will never end. At least it givers me more time to write on my sequel to A MUTED MELODY if there are any people who are answering this blog, thank you, although I have no idea how to receive your answers. I've tried everything Iknow kow to do.

After much difficulty in accessing my blog, (because I didn't know what I'm doing) I'm trying again.
The sales on my book are going pretty well, but I asm having difficulty finding new sources for sale. I need to find the list of Cape Cod bookstores that were published on WIKIPEDIA. There were several local ones listed. Can you help?

My name is Barbara E. Trombley.
This is my first attempt at writing a blog, so please be very patient if Idon't make much sense.
I have just published my first novel, A MUTED MELODY . Naturally, I am very proud of it. I hope many people will be interested in reading it. It has mystery, murder, smugglers, and striving for recovery all interwoven. A major helper in solving the mystery is a yorkshire terrier named Signor Poochini, who bears a remarkable resemblance to my own yorkie, Dandy Dancer.
